DASH 11

A patient has come down with a variety of mysterious ailments, and your team has been called to investigate. You've dealt with puzzle-related illnesses before, but this time you'll be working at a much smaller scale. Diagnose! Assemble! Shrink! Heal!

DASH 11 took place on September 21, 2019.
Here are the results for Standard and Expert levels.

Puzzles

DASH 11 puzzles are available for download, sized for either letter or A4 paper. Each zip contains the DASH 11 puzzles in both Standard and Expert levels, as well as an Instructions PDF with details on printing and materials.

DASH is designed to be played by a team of 3-5 people. You'll find it handy to have scissors, tape, and graph paper for DASH 11.

We recommend using ClueKeeper to complete your DASH 11 experience. In addition to confirming answers (including partial solutions) and providing hints, it also has support for augmented reality content in one of the DASH 11 puzzles. For a small fee, you can purchase a version of the DASH 11 ClueKeeper hunt specifically designed for use with the files above. Purchase the Standard or Expert hunt based on which level you wish to play. (See the DASH FAQ page for guidance on choosing a level.) Note that the ClueKeeper purchase is for an entire team, not a per-person cost.

DASH 11 used a few physical items:

  • Plastic cubes – A set of colored interlocking cubes is used by one puzzle. If you don't have the cubes, you may find graph paper and colored pencils helpful for this part of the puzzle.
  • Laser-cut board – For the event, we used 14-ply Crescent White Mounting Board, which was laser cut by Pololu. If you have access to a laser cutter, you can cut and etch your own material using the DASH 11 laser cut file (you need 12 copies). Otherwise, the puzzle ZIP includes a file you can print on cardstock (or paper).

We have some extra physical items and a few complete puzzle sets that are available for shipping to US addresses while supplies last. Contact dash11 DASH 11 organizers if you would like to order items. (First come, first served.)

The following options are available. Prices include shipping to a US address. You will need to purchase a ClueKeeper registration separately.

  • A full set of puzzle materials – $50 – This includes the puzzles printed in color, die-cut cardstock pages for two puzzles with cut-out pieces, a set of cubes, and a set of laser-cut pieces. Specify Standard or Expert.
  • Die-cut pages, cubes, laser-cut pieces – $40 – You will need to print the 25 puzzle pages (in color).
  • Cubes and laser-cut pieces – $30 – You will need to print 25 puzzle pages (in color), and print two pages (on cardstock) with pieces that need to be cut out.
